Welcome to A Kid's World Montessori Preschool in League City

Infants/Toddler Program

Infants RoomOur infants and toddlers are grouped according to developmental level (not age), and each classroom is equipped with materials that encourage promotion to the next level.

Grouping our babies according to ability ensures that our tiniest infants enjoy comfortable, uninterrupted floor play.

It also enables our mobile babies to move around without restrictions.

Our infant toddler classrooms are grouped as follows:

Infants (approximately 0-8 months) - Our infant child care teachers are not only experienced in infant/toddler care, they are also mothers who understand feeding and nap schedules. We encourage our babies to sleep and eat on their schedule, not ours. We have theme based, planned daily activities that include each of the following;

  • Story time
  • Oral Language Development
  • Music, Finger plays & Nursery Rhymes
  • Floor Play –activities that develop gross motor skills such as scooting, kicking, and reaching
    Table Time – activities that develop fine motor skills such as grasping, stacking, and eye hand coordination
  • Sensorial – activities that stimulate the five senses
  • Outdoor play – (weather permitting) Just outside our infant room is a large patio, shaded with big pecan trees. Our infants are able to enjoy beautiful weather in bouncers and swings.  What a wonderful way to stimulate their senses.

Crawlers/Waddlers (approximately 8-14 months) - Your baby will advance to the “crawler” classroom once he/she begins to crawl. In our “crawlers” classroom, we have theme based, planned daily activities that include each of the following;

We understand that communicating with you is the key to giving your baby the best child care.  We want to care for your baby the way you do.  We feel constant dialogue between parent and caregiver is the best way to achieve this.  To avoid miscommunication, we provide personalized daily sheets that go home with your baby every day.  Our day care daily sheets detail your child's day.  If for some reason you have a question regarding your child’s day, an “after hours” telephone number is provided on each child care sheet so you can get your question answered, even after hours.  We feel that communicating with you and nurturing your baby are the two most important things we can do to give your family peace of mind.
